Chauncey Billups, the 2004 NBA Finals MVP for the Detroit Pistons and a five-time NBA All-Star, is highly qualified for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass., according to research by the Cass Technical High School Sports Analytics Club in Detroit.
The Cass Tech students, participants in The Sports Analytics Club Program (SACP), analyzed Billups’ statistical profile from his 17-year NBA career and found that the five-time All-Star compared favorably to several other point guards already enshrined in Springfield.
