The Cleveland Guardians Baseball Operations department is seeking analysts who are creative, curious, and collaborative teammates who enjoy tackling unique and challenging problems. The analyst role supports multiple departments (Player Development, Pro/Amateur/International Acquisitions, and the Major League team) with analysis and the practical application of evidence and research-based tools, resources, and processes to help facilitate their work.
Pacers Sports & Entertainment is seeking a Basketball Analytics Intern who will work directly with the Indiana Pacers analytics team in support of the front office, training staff, and coaching staff. The overall focus will be on helping improve existing data science and data engineering projects, developing new tools, and maintaining current analytics infrastructure. Experience in sports is not required, but applicants should be passionate about basketball and the data industry.
The Sports Science Analyst will collaborate with other groups within Baseball Research and Baseball Systems to analyze data and provide data-enabled insights and recommendations on training and injury prevention strategies. The Wharton Sports Analytics and Business Initiative, in conjunction with Wharton Global Youth, is excited to host the Wharton High School Data Science Competition: Basketball Tournament Predictions. Using team-level box score data from an entire regular season of women’s college basketball, teams of high school students worldwide will determine rankings and predict winning percentages for postseason play. This is your chance to compete in the second annual Wharton High School Data Science Competition, hosted by the Wharton Sports Analytics and Business Initiative (WSABI) and the Wharton Global Youth Program.
The Program Manager for Sports Data and Analytics is a new position within Dartmouth College Athletics and Recreation. Reporting to the Executive Associate Athletics Director for Peak Performance, this role will lead the development and implementation of new Sports Analytics services within the Dartmouth Peak Performance (DP2) team—an interdisciplinary support team helping varsity student-athletes maximize their potential as students, athletes, and people during their time at Dartmouth. Additionally, it will provide data science support to existing sports science and performance technology service area.
